    CENTRIC’S HIT DOCU-SERIES “FROM THE BOTTOM UP” PREMIERES SECOND SEASON

    SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29 AT 10 PM

     

    NEW YORK October 26, 2016 –Centric’s docu-series, FROM THE BOTTOM UP is back for a second season.  As with the first season, this season follows  Stacii Jae Johnson, Chrystale Wilson, Sara Stokes, Kim Smeadly, Christine Beatty and Chanita Foster who continue to struggle to overcome the difficulties of their pasts, while navigating the highs and lows of their families, relationships and careers.  Premiering Saturday, October 29 at 10 PM, the eight part series will give viewers an inside look at the lives of six once widely successful women who have lost everything and are hoping to reclaim, rebuild and recover the lives they once knew. 

     

    MEET THE CAST

     

    CHRYSTALE WILSON

    Chrystale is best known for her role in the movie “The Player’s Club.” In the past Chrystale has had trouble reaching her peak as an actress.  Presently, Chrystale is now shooting a pilot, a movie and has several upcoming opportunities. This season, she introduces a fellow actress, Maia Campbell, to the ladies with high hopes of helping Maia restore her life.

     

    CHRISTINE BEATTY

    Christine returns this season and is ready to take over Atlanta! She was once the powerful and well-respected Chief of Staff for Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick until she resigned amid a political sex-scandal and criminal charges of perjury.  At the start of the new season, Christine is finally welcomed back to her hometown of Detroit, and now hosts her own radio show on Detroit 910AM Radio Superstation.  Additionally, her business ventures eventually lead her back to Atlanta where she’s raising her two teenage daughters, Maya, 17 and Lauren, 16. 

     

    STACII JAE JOHNSON

    Stacii was one of the best political fundraisers in the city of Atlanta. After being pulled over and arrested for DUI, her promising career began to unravel.   Author, entrepreneur, and the “go-­to” for all things single girl, Stacii returns this season to shake things up in the ATL! With the release of her book, Date Girl,  Stacii hopes to continue to inspire single women everywhere with the mantra “Living, Loving, Laughing, Learn ME!” Today, Stacii is embarking on a new journey of motivational speaking, hosting, and living a more conservative lifestyle. Amidst the many challenges she faces in life, Stacii always appears to come out on top. 

     

    KIM SMEDLEY

    Kim was administering illegal butt-injection procedures from hotel rooms nationwide and amassing a great deal of wealth and notoriety. These activities ultimately landed her in federal prison.  This season, Kim Smedley is residing in her hometown of Atlanta, and viewers will watch as she balances her business, a new book and her family.  Also in a desperate attempt to find her happily ever after, Kim meets with a matchmaker to change her dating woes.

     

    SARA STOKES

    Sara is known for being a part of Diddy’s group from “Making The Band 2.” Sara has since struggled in her solo career and has suffered from domestic violence in her personal life. Recently released from prison, she is in Atlanta to work on her music and get a fresh start. While there, she continues to seek therapy to deal with childhood struggles that have impacted her life, her relationships and her family.  

     

    CHANITA FOSTER

    New gal­-pal, Chanita Foster, joins the group this season, and isn’t afraid to speak her mind! Looking to be seen as more than just the wife of NFL superstar, George Foster, Chanita is a business woman, mother, entrepreneur and philanthropist.  Alongside her many roles, Chanita  who once suffered from depression seeks to help other women with this battle.

     

    FROM THE BOTTOM UP is a Flavor Unit Entertainment and No Ego production and is executive produced by Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere, Nicci Gilbert, Luchia Ashe and Yaneley Arty.

    At the heart of Atlanta was one of the hottest spots in town, known for revving things 

    up in the “ATL”—Soul Kittens Cabaret. Five women by the names of 

    Carmen, Bianca, Brandy, Holiday and Charita fueled it all. ATL was synonymous with Soul 

    Kittens and The Soul Kittens Cabaret was the hottest ticket in town. 

    People would fly from everywhere to catch the kittens in action. When it came to the 

    cabaret scene, they were the beginning and the end. Long legs, lean backs and 

    beauty was their middle name. From their sultry sex appeal, silky vocals, dynamic 

    dance routines and eye-catching costumes, The Soul Kittens took customers on the 

    ride of their life. Forging fantasy with fanfare was their game and they played it oh 

    too well.But, in the midst of the Soul Kittens presenting to the masses all the glamour, glitz 

    and glad times, they were going through their own individual struggle

    Keke is in the process of rebranding herself with the help of her new team and her new attitude, and she is 

    determined to have it all. Keke's mission is to prove to the world that not only can she be a SuperStar Singer, 

    but she can also be a SuperStar Mother, Wife, Sibling, Daughter and Businesswoman, all while raising her 

    8th child. Keke knows that in order to accomplish her dreams, she has to shed a few past habits, learn a few 

    new habits and still allow herself to just "be Keke". Keke’s new solo album was released this Spring, and she launched

    her own record label. As a 34 year old singer and a brand new record label head, it’s now or never. She’s touring with

    new music, launching her new baby products, helping with science projects and kids activities and experiencing her own

    growing pains. Television viewers will get a closer look into the fun, zany, unpredictable life of Keke Wyatt and her

    "Village" and watch her work weekly to prove that Keke is not crazy, but she can make the world "Krazy for Keke"
